Is there currently any comments or discussion on how much or little focus is given to custom characters? I still want to be able to have a dynamic rpg experience playing outside the lines of the Origin characters. If someone wants to experience the more detailed and diverse experience as a wizard, it doesn't sound like they will have any other choice but to play Gale. Perhaps you need an undead to hire the mercenary in order to gain an undead one. Ive only gotten the living kind of mercenaries. For example, you have Gale, human wizard. Once you are to Lady Vencgeance hire 2 mercenaries and respec everyone for a full party. Then go here: C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\Divinity Original Sin 2\\bin Open the APP 3 times : EoCApp (Or how every many customs you want (1-3)) The three new clients opended go to muliplayer and join your lan game you. Unless we are expecting to see a wide range of other Origin character options there are huge amounts of combinations and background that wont be available with the same rich story (as they stated). Hey, Note this is the way I create 4 customs on 1 computer and only owning 1 game: Open Divinity, Host a multiplayer game, local only settings (LAN). you can control their gear, what I meant by true customization was its looks/color things like that that games have allowed. When it comes to BG3 as far as the demo shows the characters are gender, race, and class locked. This worked great in Divinity Original Sin 2 because each Origin character (even though they were race and gender locked) could be built into any roll, combat, magic, ranged, etc. During the steam it was stated that they are bringing the origin system to BG3 with strong story focus on a pre-set group of characters. now deciding which companions take with me Im a custom character (my build is an elf ranger/assassin, with mystic and scholar as talents) Now for. First, based on how you view him, he seems quite suited to be your avatar. In that case, I would suggest to play as Ifan. There are several prescripted character you can chose as your main character in Divinity Original Sin 2, however you can create your own characters as you like. Preset characters all have some personal content that custom lack. After watching today's stream at Pax everything looks fantastic and I am extremely excited, however there is one area where I am still unclear and somewhat concerned. If you are only goint to play the game once, I would recommand you play as a preset character, rather than custom. Most RPGs only let you customize your protagonist and fill out the party/squad with premade characters for story purposes.
